How to care for your lambswool products
We understand that muddy feet, biscuit crumbs, and grubby fingers are just part of life. That’s why our New Zealand lambswool products are designed to be not only beautiful but incredibly resilient, and are made to handle real living while still looking good.
New Zealand lambswool is naturally strong, thanks to the fine crimp of each fibre, which gives it both warmth and durability without being heavy. It’s naturally odour-resistant, breathable, and able to repel light spills, meaning it stays fresher for longer and needs less washing than many other fibres.
To freshen up your lambswool product without washing, we recommend to air out over a chair or over a railing for a few hours on a nice sunny day.
With a little care, your lambswool product can look and feel just as good in years to come as it does today.
Below you’ll find simple, tried-and-true steps to keep your wool product looking good, so you can keep enjoying that cosy comfort and timeless style for seasons to come.

You can spot clean marks on your wool product by using cool water with a dash of wool detergent diluted in cool water.
Mix a small dash of wool detergent into cool water.
Use a clean cloth to gently dab (not scrub) the solution onto the affected area.
Rinse by dabbing with a clean, damp cloth.
Avoid rubbing to prevent fluffing or distorting the wool.

Yes – Please hand wash only using cool water and wool detergent.
No - you can either hand wash it or take it to the dry cleaner.

You’ll need:
A large tub (laundry tub, bath, or clean bin)
Cool water
Wool detergent
Steps:
Fill the tub with cool water, enough to fully submerge the item.
Add wool detergent and stir gently.
Submerge the item and gently squeeze (don’t rub or wring).
Rinse thoroughly in cool water (at least twice).
Lay flat to dry—on towels on a deck, or lawn is perfect.

Do:
Brush off loose dirt before storing
Let the mat dry completely before putting it away

Fun Fact: Unlike like machine-washable merino, our wool is less processed and more natural, so it needs gentler care.
