Wonderful wool

Wool isn’t just warm, it’s a true wonder fibre. Naturally renewable, biodegradable, and carbon negative, wool is also hypoallergenic, odour-resistant, moisture-wicking, and a superb insulator against heat, cold, and sound. And because our NZ wool products are crafted from fully traceable, ethically sourced lambswool, you can feel good knowing your comfort supports the planet.

We are dedicated to the sustainable production of our wool. Our South Island farm practices on-farm sustainability, ensuring our sheep and the environment thrive in harmony.

Wool’s biodegradable properties are a key attribute; bury a wool blanket in your garden, and it will return to the soil within months, releasing nutrients as it breaks down. Compare that to synthetic, petroleum-based fibres like polyester (which may take centuries to decompose) and the difference is clear.

And it all begins with the shearing season. Each summer, we shear our lambs as part of a long-standing farming tradition that’s vital to their welfare. Like human hair, wool keeps growing, and if left unchecked, it can lead to discomfort and health problems for the sheep. Our careful shearing practices are designed to keep our animals healthy and our wool top-quality.
