Our products

​Rātā Creek is the brand name for the woollen products we bring to you from our 1,000ha South Island sheep and beef farm. 

All of our throws are made from our 100% luxurious lambswool. Whether you’re snuggled on the couch, star gazing on a cool evening, keeping your knees warm when working from home, or draping furniture to provide colour and texture, our throws are perfect for every occasion.

Every step in the making of our throws, apart from the manufacture of the labels sewn on to them, is completed in New Zealand. The lambs are born on our Clutha farm, the wool is shorn by our local shearing contractor, packed in bales and sent to Timaru for scouring (washing out the dirt and natural grease). Then the clean wool is off to Wellington to be spun into yarn, and then Auckland to be woven into the final product before making its way to you. We love that this is all done in New Zealand. ​

Our handmade picnic rugs are also made right here in New Zealand using our wool with proofed cotton canvas as the backing for extra durability.
